Welcome

The website Grand Prix History has been in existence since May 22, 1997. For much of that time it has been a little known secret tucked in a small corner of the World Wide Web. Lovingly constructed step by step it is now 500+ pages in length or is that girth? It is still one of the few Formula 1 sites that attempts to go beyond the statistics and describe what it was really like.

I've replaced the previous Guest Book with this blog which I hope will prove more useful. Please feel free to add a comment on this website or on the state of Formula 1 if you wish. I hope to post my thoughts from time to time. We have just witnessed a relatively stellar season ending with the crowning of a new World Champion. Except for the debacle at the United States Grand Prix it was a successful season. The only drawback for me was the horrible qualifying rules and the penalties that drivers suffered due to their placement in the previous race. Hopefully that will be a thing of the past.

As we enter our "dark time" I hope to here from each of you.
