 Welcome
to my family website. In the coming weeks (months) I will be transferring
many of my photographs to digital media. I
hope that you enjoy the images. I have a number of sections including Grand
Prix History, Resume,
Gallery, Travel
and Carlin's Home
Page. What I
don't have is a general section of just family photos taken during our
normal activities. This
section will I hope fill that need. We have always been a picture taking
family rather than one that takes home videos. So I am not short of
content matter. Jeanne has created a number of albums but between her
albums and my website we still have hundreds or even thousands of photographs that are not
in either. We have been in our new house for over a year now and are
slowly completing the backyard. There is still a lot of dirt and not
enough plants. We hope to soon have our own darkroom where we can develop our
black & white work. I want to take the opportunity to introduce
my son to this wonderful hobby/art. So I hope that you enjoy the different
websites. The World Wide Web is such a wonderful tool for sharing memories
and I recommend it for every family. It can shorten some of the distance
that we find ourselves in from other members of the family.
 The
picture on the left is my dog Reggie named after one of King Arthur's
Knights of the Round Table. He
is now 2 1/2 years old and weighs over 100 lb. The photo on the right is
my brother Jeff (the one wearing the dark glasses) He loves to
fish. In fact if you can't find him just look for the nearest fishing hole
day or night. I still haven't figured out how he can see the fish with his
dark glasses but does seem to do OK. We are members of a campground near
the American River where we go at least a couple of times a year. They
have their own pond where you can fish. There is also the river and some
nearby lakes where you can catch trout. The American River is made up of
three forks, each of which allows white water rafting.
 Besides
fishing Jeff also likes watching
racing cars. During the summer we
usually go to at least one race. Lately
we have been visiting the Historic Races at Laguna Seca. Carlin, my son is
an avid sportsmen. Here he is playing badminton with his mom. He also
likes to play basketball and he recently won his first game. He plays very
good defense and can score when called upon. He enjoys it almost as much
as I enjoy watching him. I try to attend as many games as my schedule will
allow. I offer encouragement without putting any pressure on him to win.
Of course it is nice when it happens.
