Managed an international
team of 24+ developers for Ericsson in Singapore to create a digital
asset management application for SingTel, South East Asia’s largest
telecommunication company. The application included service preparation,
transcoding, thumbnailing, portal delivery and billing. Worked with
Ericsson towards laying the foundation for a new practice in digital
asset management by packaging an end to end solution, organizing the
support organization and creating a marketing plan. (Documentum 5.3,

Fedex Architect |
Working with FedEx to
develop an Enterprise Content Management Infrastructure covering the
United States, Asian-Pacific and Europe. Assisting in the establishment
of a “Center of Excellence”, Enterprise Taxonomy, 2-Year project and
resource plans, POC as well as a high-level design. Developed an RICEF
and mentored various team members as they investigated various design
topics. (Documentum5.3, WebLogic, Oracle, Unix) |

Blue Shield of CA Architect |
Gathered requirements,
architected and developed a taxonomy, lifecycles, workflows, and custom
audit data aggregation in support of Blue Shield’s (BSC) Consumer
Operations. BSC has 2300+ users that had been using Documentum without
any direction for over a year. In order to give them a firm foundation
for content management and to serve as a model for an enterprise
architecture I managed an in house team of 30 leads, and subject matter
experts and designed an organization that included a Content Manager,
Architect, Librarian and application programmers. In addition I have
been providing ongoing advice on an Enterprise Architecture. (Documentum

College of American Pathologists Administrator |
Gathered requirements, architected and developed ACLs, permission sets,
lifecycles, workflows, and custom methods in support of the College’s
business practices. Designed and initiated a proof of concept (POC) to
improve productivity and data integrity. (Documentum 4i/5i, SQL Server) |
| Apr - Jun 2003 |
Screen Actors Guild Developer |
Gathered requirements to configure and create basic customizations to
WebPublisher in support of the Screen Actor’s Guild (SAG) Web Portal
implementation. Provided mentorship and best practices to SAG personnel
and a third-party vendor. The environment ran on Windows 2000 servers
with content being pushed to multiple servers. (Documentum 5i, WebCache,
WebLogic, Oracle) |
| Nov 2002 – Mar 2003 |
Wells Fargo Developer |
Configured and created customizations to WebPublisher in support of Wells
Fargo’s Site Migration effort and served as the project’s Documentum
subject matter expert on Object type/attribute model definition. These
customizations involved the WebPublisher interface and additional
validations and actions. Assisted developers in migrating legacy data.
(Unix, Documentum 4i, ATG, Oracle) |
| Mar 2002 – Nov 2002 |
Purdue Pharma Architect |
Customized the WebPublisher interface for Purdue Pharma and mentored their
developers on Documentum best practices while working in a validated
environment. The customizations included new screens, reports and a
customized workflow. Templates included with this design used dynamic
XSL and xDQL processing. Introduced Purdue to an online markup tool that allowed easy to use collaboration tool that integrated into their system. (Windows 2000, Documentum 4i, WebCache/Content Caster, iMarkup) |
| Oct 2001 - Jan 2002 |
Och-Ziff Architect |
Worked as an Information Architect to design a
document image capture application for Och-Ziff a financial company.
This application included automatic fax, scan and electronic signature
integration. One of the key requirements was defining attribute data
sources.
(Windows 2000, Documentum, InputAccel) |
| Oct 2001 – Dec 2001 |
Alldata Architect |
Worked as an Information Architect with AllData and AutoZone engineers to
develop an XML authoring application that maximized component
reusability, concurrency and allowed lifetime auditing. The application
involved an end-to-end process that scanned automotive manuals that were
sent to India and converted to XML. These xml documents were imported
into Documentum as multiple component objects and became the building
blocks to new content. Included, as part of the application was custom
authoring and management interfaces. (Unix, Documentum, xMetal, LIMS) |
| Dec 2000 – Mar 2001 |
Cisco Systems Project Manager |
Managed a Documentum WDK project for Cisco
Systems to produce a Web-based document repository. This project
involved a custom taxonomy
definition, full-text indexing and subscriptions. (Unix,
Documentum, JAVA) |
| Oct 1999 – Dec 2000 |
Boeing Airplane Company Project Manager |
Worked with the client using Joint Application Development (JAD)
Methodology to design and manage a large authoring application that was
ATA 100/2100 compliant for Boeing’s Service Bulletin Engineering. This
application integrated FrameMaker + SGML and Documentum and included
heavy customization of both products. (Windows 98, Documentum,
FrameMaker, C, Java, Visual Basic and COM) |
| Oct 1998 – Mar 1999 |
Qantas Airlines Developer |
Technical lead on a large SGML authoring system for Qantas Airlines. This
application supported the training department and involved complex
component sharing, concurrency, workflow and reuse using custom parsing,
bursting and chunking functions. A custom interface was created in
Visual Basic for managing the approval process. (Windows, Documentum, C,
Visual Basic, Lotus Notes) |
| 1992 – 2003 | Involved in countless client initiatives covering multiple industries including semiconductor, aviation, banking, insurance and health sciences. These initiatives involved interacting with clients to gather their requirements and provide them with an architectural overview of the proposed system. Included were initial budgets using top-down and bottom up estimating, providing project plans detailing the resources required in documentation that upon acceptance was translated into detail designs. My greatest strength is in conceptualizing and then communicating a solution with supporting architecture to the client. | |
